We hand-build you a picnic basket to take with you: a cozy spread of snacks, treats, and drinks packed and ready to go, plus the blanket and little touches that make the spot feel like yours. We point you to a free stargazing app you can hold up to the sky to name what's overhead, plus a short guide to what's up this season and tips on the darkest spots near the River Valley to escape the glow — your backyard works, but a short drive toward Mount Magazine or out past Chaffee Crossing is even better. Grab the basket, spread the blanket, dim the lights, and let the conversation drift the way it only does in the dark.
